Welcome to DIP781: Software Automation in Healthcare. This course covers the main aspects of how technology is reshaping the medical field. We will explore the impact of digital transformation, from process automation and CRM systems to advanced concepts like conversational AI, clinical decision support systems, and digital twins. The goal is to provide you with a deep understanding of which processes can be automated and the skills to analyze the changes and risks involved. The theoretical knowledge you acquire will be directly applied to solve practical tasks.

Introduction
Welcome to Module 4. In this section, we will explore the world of Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM), where digital technology is used to monitor patients outside of traditional clinical settings. We will examine the devices that make this possible and analyze how the real-time data they generate is shifting healthcare from a reactive to a proactive model.
This module is designed to be highly practical. You will use the self-study materials I have prepared (videos, podcasts, and flashcards) to learn the core concepts, and then apply that knowledge through hands-on research, analysis, and design tasks.
This module will take approximately two weeks to complete, requiring 8 hours of engagement with the material and 10 hours of independent work.
