Data Security and Protection in Health and Social Care
The aim of the study course is to provide knowledge about secure data processing in the field of health and social care. The course covers health and social care organizational architecture, processes and information systems, information security management and personal data processing under GDPR.
Tasks of the study course are:

- to create an understanding of the key concepts of information security;

- to create an understanding of the enterprise architecture of the typical health and social care organizations: processes, data, information systems;

- to introduce students to the principles of secure data handling and create skills of their application in the delivery of health and social care services;
-
- to build skills in identifying information security threats and vulnerabilities in health and social care;
-
- to develop an understanding of the key concepts, processes and regulatory framework for the protection of personal data;
-
- to develop an understanding of information security requirements and standards in health and social care;
-
- to develop skills in defining the necessary security measures to protect personal data (including special categories of data) in the health and social care provider’s IT control environment.
To successfully complete the course the final exam must be passed. To gain access to the final exam, all tests and practical tasks must be competed.
